Dantalian no Shoka(Mystica Library of Dantalian in English) is a light novel series written by Gakuto Mikumo n illustrated by G-Yuusuke. Mikumo also writes Asura Cyrin' light novel.
The series started serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's light novel magazine The Sneaker on February 29, 2008. Manga adaptation by Chako Abeno started serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's shounen manga magazine Shonen Ace on March 26, 2010.
Heard the anime adaptation has been announced. Can't wait too see!
The story rated with supernatural fantasy genre, is about forbidden books of demonic wisdom, centers around a young man named Huey who inherited a musty old estate, as well the entire book collection contained therein, from his grandfather. Huey meets Dalian, a girl in a black dress who is quietly reading in the basement piled high with books. Dalian controls the gateway to the Bibliotheca Mystica de Dantalian, the forbidden books of demonic wisdom.
